Freestanding Refrigerator Installation Checklist

    • You have measured your hallways, doors, and inspected the path for installation to make sure your new refrigerator will fit into your home. It is critical to measure available space.
    • You have measured the space where the refrigerator will be installed, including moulding, to make sure it will fit. Please note that many new refrigerators are much deeper than older models.
    • You have a 110 volt, 3-prong electrical outlet that is within reach of the refrigerator power cord.
    • You have purchased a new water line connection kit – We cannot use existing connection parts for new appliance hookups.
    • For ice and water models, a water shut off valve is located within 6’ of the refrigerator on the same floor.
    • The shut off valve is corrosion-free, in good working condition, has a metal connection and requires no plumbing alterations to connect new parts.
    • Old refrigerator is empty prior to haul-away.
    • Counter depth units may require installation of supplied anti-tip device.
  • Important! We cannot use existing connection parts for new appliance hookups. This includes water line connections and electrical connections.
